History

The Peshawar Chapter of the Kohatian Association (KA) was established to support and unite the growing number of Kohatians residing in the city. Peshawar has long been a natural destination for Kohatians pursuing higher education at Peshawar University, medical colleges, and engineering universities, as well as those working in hospitals, educational institutions, public administration, and government sectors. This influx of Kohatians into Peshawar necessitated the formation of a dedicated chapter to provide a platform for support, mentorship, and networking.

Given its proximity to Cadet College Kohat (CCK), Peshawar became a preferred destination for students and professionals. As many Kohatians settled in the city after graduating from CCK, the need for a formal network to support them became apparent. The Peshawar Chapter now serves as a key forum for leadership, development, and support, fostering a sense of unity among Kohatians in the region.

This chapter has played a pivotal role in assisting young Kohatians transitioning from education to professional life, with a strong focus on mentorship and career development. Today, the chapter represents a wide range of professionals, including medical doctors, engineers, professors, business leaders, and government officials, many of whom occupy senior leadership roles in their respective fields.

With its vibrant network of professionals and close ties to institutions like Peshawar University and the provincial government, the Peshawar Chapter stands as a symbol of growth, opportunity, and community-driven support. Through its participation in the Kohatian Association’s eVoting and donation management systems, the chapter continues to support alumni and the broader Kohatian cause.

Leadership & Governance

The Peshawar Chapter follows a formal governance structure aligned with the broader framework of the Kohatian Association (KA). The chapter’s cabinet operates in a transparent and inclusive manner, with key positions elected through KA’s eVoting system to ensure fairness and accountability. The cabinet consists of leaders dedicated to overseeing the chapter’s activities, facilitating events, and providing welfare support to members.

Key Roles in the Peshawar Chapter Cabinet Include:

  • President: Leads the chapter, represents it at the Global Executive Committee (GEC), and oversees all activities.
  • General Secretary: Manages administrative tasks, communications, and records of the chapter’s meetings and events.
