The Middle East Chapter of the Kohatian Association (KA) aims to bring together Kohatians living and working across the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi), and Oman. Given the large number of Kohatians working as doctors, civil and mechanical engineers, and professionals in finance, business, and other sectors, the chapter seeks to create a unified platform for connection, collaboration, and community support.
The primary objectives of the Middle East Chapter are to:
The Middle East has always been a significant destination for Kohatians, with many alumni moving to the region for lucrative career opportunities in healthcare, engineering, finance, and other key industries. The region is home to a large number of Kohatians, but until now, they have largely remained dispersed and unorganised under a formal chapter structure.
Unlike the well-established UK, North America, and Australia chapters, the Middle East Chapter is currently in the process of being formally organised and unified under the Kohatian Association’s global framework. The efforts to bring Kohatians in the Middle East together are focused on encouraging registrations on the KA website, consolidating existing networks, and introducing a formal governance structure similar to other chapters.
This work-in-progress chapter is a major priority for the Kohatian Association, as unifying Kohatians in the Middle East will not only strengthen the community but also create new opportunities for welfare projects, professional growth, and career mobility.
Unlike other regional chapters, the Middle East Chapter is currently in the process of being formalised. While informal networks exist across countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar, the goal is to establish a formal structure under the broader Kohatian Association framework.
Once formalised, the Middle East Chapter will adopt a leadership and governance structure similar to other chapters, which includes elected cabinet positions such as:
The goal is to have a formally elected leadership team with fixed terms, as outlined in the newly adopted KA Constitution. This will allow for democratic representation, better coordination of activities, and alignment with the Kohatian Association’s global objectives.
The Middle East Chapter envisions a future where every Kohatian in the region feels connected, supported, and engaged. This vision is being actively pursued by the Kohatian Association through efforts to encourage member registrations, promote active participation, and establish formal governance. The future roadmap for the chapter includes:
By fostering unity, formalising leadership, and strengthening community support, the Middle East Chapter aims to become a vital pillar of the Kohatian Association. With the region’s significant Kohatian population and professional presence, this chapter has the potential to become one of the most influential and impactful Kohatian chapters worldwide.
