About KA — Kohatians Association
Our Story

Who We Are

The Kohatians Association is the official alumni body of Cadet College Kohat (CCK), one of Pakistan's most distinguished cadet colleges, established in 1965 in Kohat, KPK.

For decades, Kohatians maintained informal networks and gatherings with no formal structure. In 2025, that changed. KA was formally registered Under The Islamabad Capital Territory Charities Registration, Regulation And Facilitation Act, 2021. Islamabad Capital Territory — giving the community the legal standing, governance structure, and institutional identity it deserved.

In June 2026, KA held its first general elections — a first in the association's history. An independent Election Commission administered the process; all registered members voted online from across Pakistan and the world.

Today, KA has 14 active chapters across Pakistan and internationally, a written constitution, an elected cabinet, and a clear mandate: serve Kohatians, strengthen CCK's legacy, and build something that lasts.

Governing Framework

The KA Constitution

All KA actions, decisions, and elections are governed by the KA Constitution — a written document ratified by the founding membership. It defines membership rights, cabinet roles, electoral processes, financial obligations, and dispute resolution.

The constitution is the single source of authority in KA. No individual, however senior, has authority that supersedes it. This is by design.

The full constitution is publicly available for download. KA believes governing documents should never be hidden from the people they govern.

Legal Standing

Registration & Legitimacy

KA is registered under the Islamabad Capital Territory Charities Registration, Regulation and Facilitation Act, 2021. This gives it legal standing as a formal organisation, with the ability to open accounts, enter contracts, and be recognised by government bodies, educational institutions, and international organisations.

The registration certificate is publicly available. KA holds itself to the standard of a formal institution, not an informal gathering.
