About the USA Chapter

Name

The organization’s name shall be the USA Alumni Association of Cadet College Kohat, referred to as the “Association.”

Purpose
The Association is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and social purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The objectives of the Association include:

  1. Promoting camaraderie and fellowship among alumni of Cadet College Kohat residing in the United States.
  2. Supporting educational initiatives and scholarships for deserving students of Cadet College Kohat.
  3. Organizing events and programs to promote the values and legacy of Cadet College Kohat.
  4. Partnering with other organizations to support charitable activities in education and community development.


Membership

  1. Eligibility: Membership is open to all alumni of Cadet College Kohat residing in the United States.
  2. Categories of Membership:
    a. Regular Members: Alumni of Cadet College Kohat.
    b. Honorary Members: Individuals who support the Association’s mission, as determined by the Executive Committee.
  3. Voting Rights: Only Regular Members in good standing shall have voting rights.


Governance

The Association shall be governed by an Executive Committee comprising the following minimum officers:

  1. President: Responsible for overall leadership and presiding over meetings.
  2. Vice President: Assists the President and assumes duties in their absence.
  3. Secretary: Maintains records, prepares minutes of meetings, and manages correspondence.
  4. Treasurer: Oversees financial matters, prepares budgets, and ensures compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Optional Additional Officers:

  • Event Coordinator
  • Membership Chairperson
  • Public Relations Officer


Meetings

  1. Annual General Meeting (AGM): An AGM shall be held once a year to review the Association’s activities and elect officers.
  2. Executive Committee Meetings: The Executive Committee shall meet quarterly to plan and execute activities.
  3. Quorum: A quorum for any official meeting shall be most of the Executive Committee members.


Finances

  1. Fiscal Year: The Association’s fiscal year shall be from January 1 to December 31.
  2. Dues: Annual membership dues may be determined by the Executive Committee and approved by the membership.
  3. Bank Account: The Association shall maintain a bank account. Two officers (Treasurer and President/Vice President) shall have signing authority.
  4. Financial Reporting: The Treasurer shall present an annual financial report to the membership at the AGM.


Amendments

This charter may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the Regular Members present at an AGM, provided notice of the proposed amendment has been shared at least 30 days in advance.


Dissolution

Upon dissolution, the Executive Committee will distribute the Association’s remaining assets to a 501(c)(3) organization with similar charitable and educational objectives.
