📢 Kohatians Association Newsletter — Oath Taking Ceremony Held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad
The Kohatians Association formally inaugurated its newly elected Cabinet with a grand Oath Taking Ceremony at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad, attended by 250+ Kohatians. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi attended as Chief Guest and administered the oath to the new Cabinet.
The Kohatians Association formally inaugurated its newly elected Cabinet with a grand Oath Taking Ceremony held at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad.
Distinguished Attendance
The ceremony was attended by 250+ Kohatians from almost all Entries. We were honored by the presence of respected current and former teachers of Cadet College Kohat, including Brig. Ajmal Khan (Ex-Principal), Sir Zia Zabeeh, Sir Shams-ud-Din Mahmud, Sir Amir Ali Rahi, Sir Khan Muhammad Aslam, Sir Muhammad Khalil, Sir Noor Ahmad Rana, Sir Khurram Abbas (Vice Principal CCK), and Sir Zakirullah Khan.
Chief Guest
We were privileged to host His Excellency Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as the Chief Guest. In his address, the Governor lauded Cadet College Kohat for producing leaders in government, business, health, engineering, and IT. He appreciated the efforts of Kohatians Association and expressed his desire for establishing a Cadet College in D.I. Khan, his home city.
On arrival, the Honourable Governor was warmly welcomed by Maj. Gen. Dr. Viqar Ahmed Khan (Retd), President KA, along with members of the Cabinet and Alumni.
Key Addresses
Maj. Gen. Dr. Viqar Ahmed Khan (Retd), President KA, highlighted KA's ongoing initiatives and launched the Green Initiative "Yaran e Arz." He expressed sincere gratitude to the Founder Cabinet, especially to Engr. Turab Ali Khan, President, and Mr. Abdul Nasir, General Secretary, for their dedication.
A special video address by Engr. Turab Ali Khan, President Founder Cabinet, was broadcast live from the UK.
Admiral Asif Sandila (Retd), Ex-Chief of Naval Staff, shared his inspiring journey from a village to CCK and then to Naval Chief, and spoke about his work with Moawin NGO.
Mr. Justice (R) Ibrahim Khan, Ex-Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, addressed the gathering with valuable insights.
Mr. Shahzabzada Ashfaq Ahmad, PSP, emphasized unity and the need for a vibrant alumni platform.
Oath Taking
The highlight was the Oath administered by the Chief Guest to the newly elected Cabinet:

General Secretary — Dr. Humayun (participated via video due to performing Umrah)
Finance Secretary — Fiaz Akbar Jafri
Special Guest
We were honored by the presence of Guest of Honor Malik Ahmad Khan, grandson of Malik Amir Muhammad Khan, who laid the foundation stone of Cadet College Kohat. He shared excerpts from historic letters reflecting the vision of CCK's founders.
Souvenirs & Media
A souvenir was presented to the Governor by the KA President and Cabinet.
The Governor presented souvenirs to our worthy teachers.
The event received extensive media coverage and concluded with a dinner.
A New Chapter Begins
This ceremony marks the beginning of a new era for Kohatians Association — built on service, unity, and dedication to our alma mater and community.

Islamabad / Rawalpindi Chapter Elections — Kohatians Association Elections 2026
Preparations for the Islamabad / Rawalpindi Chapter elections are now underway. Elections will be held for President, Vice President, General Secretary, and Finance Secretary. Check your registered chapter, key dates, and eligibility below.
ABOUT THE ELECTIONS
Elections will be held for the Islamabad / Rawalpindi Chapter Cabinet for the following positions:
• President
• Vice President
• General Secretary
• Finance Secretary
TO VOTE IN ISLAMABAD / RAWALPINDI CHAPTER ELECTIONS
You must be registered on the KA website with Islamabad / Rawalpindi selected as your chapter.
WhatsApp groups or any other informal group membership does not determine your chapter membership or voting eligibility.
CHAPTER MOVE REQUEST
If you wish to move into or out of the Islamabad / Rawalpindi Chapter, please submit a Chapter Move Request through the KA website. All requests will be reviewed and approved by the Election Commission.

• Nomination Deadline — 06 September 2026
• Candidate and Voter Verification — 09 September 2026
• Final Candidate List — 10 September 2026
• Membership Registration Cutoff — 17 September 2026

As per the KA Constitution, 10 senior Kohatians from Entries 1 to 20 are to be nominated to the Council of Advisors (Elders). Members from the designated Entries are requested to build consensus and nominate one registered member.

As per the KA Constitution, 10 senior Kohatians from Entries 1 to 20 are to be nominated to the Council of Advisors (Elders).
Resolution:
It has been resolved that one member shall be nominated from each of the following Entries:
1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, and 19th Entry
Request to Members of above entries:
Please share this message in your respective Entry groups.
Build consensus within your Entry and nominate one registered KA member.
Please ensure the nominee has given his consent.
Criteria: Nominee must be a registered member of KA.
Deadline: Submission of Name + Consent by Friday, 21st August 2026
Upon receipt of all nominations, the final list will be presented in the next meeting for approval.

1st Meeting of Central Cabinet After Oath Taking — Key Decisions & Way Forward
Alhamdulillah, the 1st Meeting of the Central Cabinet after Oath Taking was held on 5th August 2026 in Islamabad. Key decisions covered welfare support, education partnerships, new standing committees, and the introduction of an annual membership fee.

Alhamdulillah, the 1st Meeting of the Central Cabinet after Oath Taking was held on 5th August 2026 at Islamabad.
Key Achievements & Decisions:
1. Welfare & Support
• Monthly financial assistance approved for a deserving Kohatian.
• Medical support extended to a Kohatian's son.
• Membership Cards to be issued with up to 25% discounts at The Citi Lab, IDC, and more hospitals to follow.
2. Education & Partnerships
• MOU signed with Abasyn University: 16 scholarships with 25% fee discount for Kohatians & children.
• Health & Education MOUs finalised to benefit members and families.
3. Unity & Governance
• KA Central Cabinet desires to bring all Kohatians together. For this concerted efforts are being made. Sincere Kohatians should come forward and volunteer for this noble cause of brotherhood.
• 12 Standing Committees constituted. Kohatians are invited to volunteer.
• Official WhatsApp Channels to be launched for direct updates.
4. Tribute & Legacy Projects
• Shuhada Monument Committee formed. Kohatians will be taken on board to suggest designs. Target: Present to College on Reunion Day.
• Green Pakistan Initiative and Tree Plantation Drive launched as per KA's vision.
5. Sustainability
• Annual Membership Fee of Rs. 3,000/- introduced to support welfare activities.
• Fund Raising Committee constituted.
We are grateful to our seniors for their guidance and to all founding members for their selfless service, for devoting their time and energy, and for supporting the KA from their own resources to bring it to where it is today.
